There have always been people from abroad who wanted to discover the Zaan region, the best known being Tsar Peter the Great and the famous impressionist Claude Monet. The Zaanse Schans is now a Dutch heritage site, here you can visit an old working windmill and learn how products were fabricated in the 17th and 18th century. -

After arriving at the Floriade Expo you will learn about its history and your guide will walk you through the park at your own pace showing you its highlights and attractions. After your guided tour you will have time to explore the park on your own after a meeting time and place has been set. After the Floriade Expo your guide will drive you directly to the Zaanse Schans windmills, passing country mansions, windmills and farmland. At this Dutch heritage site your guide will take you for a short stroll around it’s highlights including a visit to a working windmill!
